RANKPLAYER
#1
Juan Soto (WAS, OF) AGE: 23.7
72 GP 256 AB 40.0 R 14.0 HR 31.0 RBI 5.0 SB 0.211 AVG

The best pure hitter in Major League Baseball at only 23 years old. He should be the staple of whatever lineup he is a part of for the next decade (or more). Soto will also get a large boost in OBP leagues due to his plate discipline.
#2
Ronald Acuña Jr. (ATL, OF) AGE: 24.5
43 GP 167 AB 28.0 R 7.0 HR 18.0 RBI 13.0 SB 0.281 AVG

Acuna is someone that should contribute in all five major fantasy categories. Expect the steals to come with time though as he will likely be eased back into the run game after tearing his ACL during the 2021 season. He should return at some point in late April.
#3
Fernando Tatis Jr. (SD, SS,OF) AGE: 23.5
He would likely be the favourite for the #1 spot on this list but multiple injures over the past few years have caused longevity concerns to arise. Hopefully, he stays off of motorcycles for good!
#4
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (TOR, 1B) AGE: 23.3
70 GP 263 AB 39.0 R 17.0 HR 43.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.266 AVG

Jr may be more special than even his dad. The 23 year old should mash in the middle of the Blue Jays order and be in line for a ton of HRs and RBIs while contributing a .300 average or better.
#5
Trea Turner (LAD, 2B,SS) AGE: 29.0
70 GP 278 AB 39.0 R 10.0 HR 52.0 RBI 14.0 SB 0.320 AVG

After getting traded to the LA Dodgers last year, Turner has not missed a beat. He has a chance to lead the league in steals and be a top five player.
#6
Shohei Ohtani (LAA, Util/SP) AGE: 28.0
71 GP 272 AB 45.0 R 16.0 HR 47.0 RBI 7.0 SB 0.254 AVG 60.1 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 90.0 K 3.28 ERA 1.14 WHIP

The unanimous #1 player in ESPN daily formats where Shohei is one player. In leagues where he is split into two players (Yahoo standard) his ranking falls to the bottom half of the top ten.
#7
Bo Bichette (TOR, SS) AGE: 24.3
70 GP 297 AB 40.0 R 12.0 HR 39.0 RBI 5.0 SB 0.256 AVG

Bichette plays a very fantasy friendly game as his lack of walks has no impact on standard 5x5 leagues. He has improved each year of his career and should continue to do so as he is still one year shy of 25 years old.
#8
Kyle Tucker (HOU, OF) AGE: 25.4
66 GP 231 AB 29.0 R 14.0 HR 48.0 RBI 13.0 SB 0.260 AVG

Tucker should be a first round pick in any re-draft league as well as any dynasty league. The Astro has real 30 HR, 25 SB potential, putting him inside the top echelon of outfielders
#9
Luis Robert (CWS, OF) AGE: 24.9
55 GP 231 AB 32.0 R 7.0 HR 36.0 RBI 11.0 SB 0.299 AVG

Luis' 2021 injury does not seem to be limiting him at all so far early into the 2022 season. His 2 Hr and 6 SB in the first week show just how much potential he actually has.
#10
José Ramírez (CLE, 3B) AGE: 29.8
65 GP 247 AB 44.0 R 16.0 HR 63.0 RBI 12.0 SB 0.296 AVG

The best third baseman for all formats is a threat to be the best player in fantasy baseball this year with his strong start.
#11
Bryce Harper (PHI, OF) AGE: 29.7
64 GP 242 AB 49.0 R 15.0 HR 48.0 RBI 9.0 SB 0.318 AVG

The 2021 NL MVP is the real deal. His 35 HR and .309 average last year puts him in an elite group of players. Harper gets a boost in OBP leagues.
#12
Rafael Devers (BOS, 3B) AGE: 25.7
70 GP 282 AB 54.0 R 17.0 HR 44.0 RBI 2.0 SB 0.330 AVG

With the signing of Trevor Story, Devers' RBI opportunities should only increase. He is now a bonafide superstar and the numbers should illustrate that in his next contract.
#13
Wander Franco (TB, 3B,SS) AGE: 25.7
45 GP 178 AB 27.0 R 4.0 HR 19.0 RBI 4.0 SB 0.264 AVG

He arrived in exciting fashion in 2021 with an on base streak of 43 straight games (the most by any hitter 20 years old and younger). He should build off what he started last season.
#14
Mike Trout (LAA, OF) AGE: 30.9
65 GP 231 AB 51.0 R 22.0 HR 45.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.290 AVG

Despite missing most of last year with a mighty calf strain, Trout is still one of, if not the best hitter in the MLB going into his age 31 season. He has something to prove for the next couple years and I expect him to do just that.
#15
Mookie Betts (LAD, 2B,OF) AGE: 29.7
60 GP 245 AB 53.0 R 17.0 HR 40.0 RBI 6.0 SB 0.273 AVG

Despite a down year last year, expect a bounceback year for the 29 year old even if the speed numbers are not what they once were.
#16
Ozzie Albies (ATL, 2B) AGE: 25.5
62 GP 242 AB 34.0 R 8.0 HR 33.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.244 AVG

Arguably the best fantasy second baseman in all of baseball. If he can return 20 steals like he did in the 2021 season, he will solidify this title.
#17
Corbin Burnes (MIL, SP) AGE: 27.7
93.1 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 119.0 K 2.41 ERA 0.92 WHIP

He was the best pitcher in all of baseball last year. With a newly added changeup to his arsenal don't be surprised to see him be even better for the next five years.
#18
Gerrit Cole (NYY, SP) AGE: 31.8
87.1 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 111.0 K 2.99 ERA 1.00 WHIP

Despite the crackdown on spider tack leading to a sub-par second half for Gerrit's standards, the K rate is elite and he should have no problem returning 2nd round value for the next three years.
#19
Bobby Witt Jr. (KC, 3B,SS) AGE: 22.0
68 GP 263 AB 39.0 R 11.0 HR 37.0 RBI 10.0 SB 0.243 AVG

Witt Jr is a 21 year old star in the making who could be an elite five-category contributor for the next decade. My top fantasy prospect going into this year
#20
Walker Buehler (LAD, SP) AGE: 27.9
65.0 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 58.0 K 4.02 ERA 1.29 WHIP

With a career 2.93 ERA Buehler is not going anywhere. He is still only 27 years old. He should eclipse the 200 strikeout and 15 Win threshold again this year.
#21
Manny Machado (SD, 3B) AGE: 30.0
66 GP 253 AB 48.0 R 12.0 HR 46.0 RBI 7.0 SB 0.328 AVG

Machado has gone under the radar it seems for the past couple of years. His 28 Homers and 106 RBI, coupled with 12 steals and .278 average keeps him in the top 25 players consistently each year.
#22
Yordan Alvarez (HOU, OF) AGE: 25.0
64 GP 231 AB 47.0 R 22.0 HR 54.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.307 AVG

Over his last 153 games, Alvarez has 37 homers, 114 RBI and a .275 average. He's only 24. That's all that needs to be said.
#23
Brandon Woodruff (MIL, SP) AGE: 29.4
43.2 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 53.0 K 4.74 ERA 1.24 WHIP

Woodruff has a chance to solidify himself as a top 5 fantasy SP this year. Brandon is still on the right side of 30 and could have many years of dominance left in him.
#24
Freddie Freeman (LAD, 1B) AGE: 32.8
70 GP 274 AB 47.0 R 8.0 HR 45.0 RBI 6.0 SB 0.303 AVG

I don't think anyone expected Freeman to be in anything but an Atlanta Brave uniform this year. Whatever uniform he is in though, he's the 2nd best 1B in the world behind Vlad.
#25
Jacob deGrom (NYM, SP) AGE: 34.0
No doubt Degrom is the best pitcher in baseball when healthy, putting up a ridiculous 1.08 ERA last year. Despite this, health is now becoming a major concern for the queen's pitcher (with Degrom already confirmed to be out for at least the first month of the 2022 season). As he approaches thirty four, will it really get any easier to stay healthy from here?
#26
Xander Bogaerts (BOS, SS) AGE: 29.7
69 GP 258 AB 43.0 R 6.0 HR 31.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.333 AVG

Xander has proven he deserves to be mentioned among the best Shortstops in the game. He should hit close to .300 with 25 home runs and single digit steals.
#27
Aaron Judge (NYY, OF) AGE: 30.2
70 GP 268 AB 58.0 R 27.0 HR 53.0 RBI 5.0 SB 0.295 AVG

Judge has some of the best raw power this game has seen. He has real 50 home run potential if everything goes right. It will be interesting to see if he re-signs with the Yankees or leaves for greener pastures.
#28
Julio Rodriguez (SEA, OF) AGE: 21.5
72 GP 274 AB 38.0 R 11.0 HR 35.0 RBI 19.0 SB 0.270 AVG

Rodriguez has the potential to be the next Latin superstar. His .347 average with 13 homers in only 291 at bats in the minors last year shows just how good he could be for many years.
#29
Teoscar Hernández (TOR, OF) AGE: 29.7
47 GP 182 AB 23.0 R 7.0 HR 28.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.247 AVG

Some people called Teoscar's 2020 breakout season a fluke but he proved in 2021 that it was not the case. If he can replicate his numbers in 2021 while stealing 20 bases instead of 12, he could become a top 15 player in redraft and dynasty leagues.
#30
Eloy Jiménez (CWS, OF) AGE: 25.6
11 GP 36 AB 2.0 R 1.0 HR 7.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.222 AVG

His bat is too special to be hurting himself playing Left Field. Let's just all hope the White Sox DH him so we all can see what that bat of his can do.
#31
Tim Anderson (CWS, SS) AGE: 29.0
44 GP 182 AB 27.0 R 5.0 HR 19.0 RBI 8.0 SB 0.346 AVG

Anderson is exciting to watch and makes the game of baseball more fun. He should be a leader in both the steals and average department for almost any fantasy team, while not being a negative asset in regards to power numbers.
#32
Julio Urías (LAD, SP) AGE: 25.9
76.1 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 71.0 K 2.48 ERA 1.01 WHIP

Urias' numbers exemplify just how good all of his pitches are. The southpaw is still only 25 years old and seems to now be living up to the hype he once had as a youngster.
#33
Matt Olson (ATL, 1B) AGE: 28.2
73 GP 277 AB 29.0 R 10.0 HR 39.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.249 AVG

The move away from Oakland should only help his numbers. Being Freeman's replacement is hard, but if anyone can do it, it's Matt Olson.
#34
Zack Wheeler (PHI, SP) AGE: 32.1
74.2 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 86.0 K 2.77 ERA 1.11 WHIP

Since moving from Queens to Philadelphia, Wheeler has been as elite as they come. His advanced metrics show little signs of regression, making him a force to be reckoned with for the next half decade.
#35
Francisco Lindor (NYM, SS) AGE: 28.6
72 GP 281 AB 45.0 R 12.0 HR 56.0 RBI 8.0 SB 0.249 AVG

Lindor was disappointing last year batting .230 with only 20 HRs and 63 RBIs after signing a massive contract worth well over 300 Million dollars. The advanced metrics show he is in line for a bounceback year though, and that has already starting to show.
#36
Byron Buxton (MIN, OF) AGE: 28.5
53 GP 199 AB 38.0 R 19.0 HR 34.0 RBI 1.0 SB 0.226 AVG

Buxton has only played a combined 215 games since 2017. Every year he seems to be an MVP calibre player before eventually getting injured. Will this year be any different?
#37
Pete Alonso (NYM, 1B) AGE: 27.6
72 GP 267 AB 45.0 R 22.0 HR 68.0 RBI 2.0 SB 0.281 AVG

Alonso has now put together three straight seasons where he either hit or was on pace for 40 home runs. He should once again contribute similar power numbers while also chipping in a fairly decent batting average.
#38
Cedric Mullins (BAL, OF) AGE: 27.7
71 GP 287 AB 37.0 R 6.0 HR 27.0 RBI 16.0 SB 0.251 AVG

The biggest breakout of the 2021 season. Will be interesting to see if he can repeat it.
#39
Austin Riley (ATL, 1B,3B) AGE: 25.2
71 GP 278 AB 39.0 R 18.0 HR 42.0 RBI 2.0 SB 0.252 AVG

Riley hits the ball hard and often. His breakout 2021 campaign for the World Weries winning Braves seems like no fluke.
#40
Freddy Peralta (MIL, SP) AGE: 26.1
38.2 IP 3.0 W 0.0 SV 50.0 K 4.42 ERA 1.19 WHIP

Something is in the water in Milwaukee. Peralta is now the 3rd Brewers all star calibre pitcher. He is due for some natural regression but he should still be great fantasy option.
#41
Sandy Alcantara (MIA, SP) AGE: 26.8
106.1 IP 7.0 W 0.0 SV 94.0 K 1.95 ERA 0.95 WHIP

Alcantara has developed nicely since being acquired from St. Louis. He should throw 200 IP for the 3rd time in 4 years while contributing over one strikeout per inning.
#42
Lucas Giolito (CWS, SP) AGE: 28.0
63.1 IP 4.0 W 0.0 SV 76.0 K 4.97 ERA 1.55 WHIP

Last season was very up and down for Giolito. Let's hope for some more consistency out of him this year.
#43
Trevor Story (BOS, 2B,SS) AGE: 29.6
65 GP 250 AB 40.0 R 11.0 HR 48.0 RBI 9.0 SB 0.224 AVG

Even if Coors Field had a minor impact on his power output, the move to Boston should allow his RBI and run numbers to improve compared to what they were in Colorado
#44
Corey Seager (TEX, SS) AGE: 28.2
68 GP 269 AB 35.0 R 15.0 HR 32.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.227 AVG

Seager got paid this winter and deservingly so. He should fair very well in his division against weak Angels and Athletics pitching staffs.
#45
Aaron Nola (PHI, SP) AGE: 29.1
96.2 IP 4.0 W 0.0 SV 109.0 K 2.98 ERA 0.89 WHIP

Expect a bounceback year from Nola. Regardless of his 4.63 ERA in 2021, he had a 3.37 FIP. These FIP numbers demonstrate an unluckiness on balls in play, something that is unlikely to occur again in 2022.
#46
Spencer Torkelson (DET, 1B,3B) AGE: 22.8
64 GP 203 AB 17.0 R 4.0 HR 16.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.192 AVG

Torkelson has sped through the minor leagues and should make an impact right from the get-go. If there are growing pains though, stick it out, he could be a perennial all-star.
#47
Tyler O'Neill (STL, OF) AGE: 27.0
45 GP 166 AB 22.0 R 4.0 HR 28.0 RBI 6.0 SB 0.235 AVG

O'Neill has a lot of swing and miss but that won't show up in fantasy league standings. He has a rare power speed combo with the potential to develop it further, building upon what he started last year.
#48
Jarred Kelenic (SEA, OF) AGE: 22.9
30 GP 86 AB 10.0 R 3.0 HR 10.0 RBI 4.0 SB 0.140 AVG

Kelenic has struggled mightily in his first taste of MLB action. Don't expect that to take a 180 degree turn anytime soon, but given time Kleneic has all the tools to be a five category contributor, even if it takes a couple of years.
#49
Shane Bieber (CLE, SP) AGE: 27.1
85.0 IP 3.0 W 0.0 SV 88.0 K 3.18 ERA 1.16 WHIP

His fastball velocity dropping along with multiple recent injuries scares me. Buyers beware.
#50
Alex Bregman (HOU, 3B) AGE: 28.2
69 GP 241 AB 38.0 R 9.0 HR 35.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.232 AVG

Bregman has only played 133 games since his MVP calibre season in 2019 so he will need to prove he can stay healthy in 2022.
#51
Randy Arozarena (TB, OF) AGE: 27.3
69 GP 266 AB 31.0 R 7.0 HR 32.0 RBI 12.0 SB 0.252 AVG

Since becoming the breakout star of the shortened 2020 season, Arozarena has carved out a consistent role in the Rays lineup. Being a 20 home run/ 20 steal threat gives him a very appealing skill set.
#52
Nick Castellanos (PHI, OF) AGE: 30.3
72 GP 277 AB 30.0 R 7.0 HR 36.0 RBI 2.0 SB 0.238 AVG

The newest Philly should contribute in all five standard categories except stolen bases. Plus he should benefit from batting behind Bryce Harper.
#53
Jazz Chisholm Jr (MIA, 2B,SS) AGE: 24.4
59 GP 212 AB 39.0 R 14.0 HR 45.0 RBI 12.0 SB 0.255 AVG

He's fun to watch and has fun playing. If Jazz can improve upon his .248 average from 2021 he could be a fantasy superstar.
#54
Logan Webb (SF, SP) AGE: 25.6
91.2 IP 7.0 W 0.0 SV 81.0 K 3.04 ERA 1.12 WHIP

Webb now has two straight sub 3.00 ERA seasons under his belt. His 2.72 FIP last year suggests he's not due for any regression.
#55
Marcus Semien (TEX, 2B,SS) AGE: 31.8
69 GP 277 AB 35.0 R 7.0 HR 27.0 RBI 12.0 SB 0.227 AVG

In 2021 Semien broke the MLB record for most home runs in a single season by a second baseman. That's not easily repeatiable but expect another solid 30 home run season out of Marcus in his first year in Texas.
#56
Riley Greene (DET, OF) AGE: 21.7
7 GP 25 AB 5.0 R 0.0 HR 1.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.280 AVG

Despite playing 2nd fiddle to Spencer Torkelson, Greene has fantasy appeal written all over him after hitting 24 home runs while batting .301 over multiple levels of the minor leagues last season.
#57
Starling Marte (NYM, OF) AGE: 33.7
62 GP 254 AB 47.0 R 7.0 HR 36.0 RBI 8.0 SB 0.272 AVG

47 steals is pretty special. Doing that again in 2022 will justify putting Marte in this spot.
#58
Adalberto Mondesi (KC, 3B,SS) AGE: 26.9
15 GP 50 AB 3.0 R 0.0 HR 3.0 RBI 5.0 SB 0.140 AVG

He has the potential to steal 60 bases all by himself, but with the Royals non commital on paying time and Mondesi now with an injury history will it happen?
#59
Will Smith (LAD, C) AGE: 27.2
58 GP 208 AB 29.0 R 11.0 HR 35.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.260 AVG

Smith has special bat on ball skills for a catcher. He also is the youngest of any top 5 catcher and is hitting in the middle of one of the most potent lineups of all time.
#60
Carlos Correa (MIN, SS) AGE: 27.8
50 GP 203 AB 28.0 R 7.0 HR 23.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.300 AVG

Signing with Minessotta puzzled some, but regardless, Correa should put together another solid season. The lack of speed limits Correa's upside.
#61
CJ Abrams (SD, SS) AGE: 21.7
26 GP 75 AB 11.0 R 1.0 HR 4.0 RBI 1.0 SB 0.187 AVG

Abrams may find playing time sparse if he struggles in the early going in 2022 but has all the tools to be a huge fantasy asset over the next couple of years once he gets going.
#62
Max Scherzer (NYM, SP) AGE: 37.9
49.2 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 59.0 K 2.54 ERA 0.95 WHIP

There does not seem to be any signs that Max will slow down in the near future. He looked even more dominant than usual after being traded to the Dodgers last year. Expect him to headline one of the best rotatinos in the game and dominate more than anyone else other than a healthy Jacob Degrom this year.
#63
Dylan Cease (CWS, SP) AGE: 26.5
74.0 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 108.0 K 2.68 ERA 1.28 WHIP

Debuting his new changeup this year Cease is looking like a good under the radar bet for the Cy Young award.
#64
Alek Manoah (TOR, SP) AGE: 24.5
87.2 IP 9.0 W 0.0 SV 79.0 K 2.05 ERA 0.96 WHIP

Since making his first career MLB start in 2021, Manoah has a 3.06 ERA scross 22 starts. Thats awfully impresssive for a player who never even played a full season in the minors. He looks like he is going to be an ace if he is not already.
#65
George Springer (TOR, OF) AGE: 32.8
63 GP 235 AB 40.0 R 13.0 HR 34.0 RBI 6.0 SB 0.260 AVG

Injuries limited Springer to 299 at-bats in 2021. With a full season in Toronto, he should return to his dominant Houston Astro form.
#66
Robbie Ray (SEA, SP) AGE: 30.7
90.2 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 98.0 K 4.07 ERA 1.18 WHIP

The Blue Jays coaching staff and Ray combined to transform his delivery and his results in 2021, leading him to a Cy Young award. After signing with Seattle he should continue to be a top fantasy SP if he can continue to his walk rate down
#67
Nolan Arenado (STL, 3B) AGE: 31.2
70 GP 264 AB 35.0 R 14.0 HR 48.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.284 AVG

Through the first couple of weeks of the 2022 season, he has been the best player in all of baseball. Being away from Coors field won't stop him. Haters gonna hate.
#68
J.T. Realmuto (PHI, C,1B) AGE: 31.3
65 GP 236 AB 35.0 R 5.0 HR 28.0 RBI 9.0 SB 0.237 AVG

At one time he was considered the #1 fantasy catcher and it was not close. The lack of power and drop in average has resulted in Realmuto moving down behind Smith.
#69
Adley Rutschman (BAL, C) AGE: 24.4
28 GP 103 AB 13.0 R 2.0 HR 7.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.223 AVG

Unfortunately, an injury will delay Adley's debut by a month or two. Don't be surprised if he immediately makes an impact when he does debut. Adley is easily the top-catching prospect the game has seen over the past five years.
#70
Whit Merrifield (KC, 2B,OF) AGE: 33.4
70 GP 287 AB 33.0 R 3.0 HR 30.0 RBI 9.0 SB 0.223 AVG

Despite Whit's power numbers continuing to regress, he can still provide a large number of runs and steals for fantasy managers that are in need of them.
#71
Frankie Montas (OAK, SP) AGE: 29.3
89.2 IP 3.0 W 0.0 SV 93.0 K 3.11 ERA 1.06 WHIP

Despite being involved in trade rumours all winter it seems as though Montas will stay put for now in Oakland. He should be a valuable contributor in strikeouts and ERA despite not getting many wins because of the team he plays for. That could change for the better if he is traded.
#72
Jesse Winker (SEA, OF) AGE: 28.9
71 GP 252 AB 24.0 R 6.0 HR 30.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.230 AVG

Winker batted .305 in 2021, expect that to regress heavily in 2022 due to his inflated BABIP which suggests some extra luck on balls he put in play.
#73
Shane Baz (TB, SP) AGE: 23.0
13.0 IP 0.0 W 0.0 SV 15.0 K 4.15 ERA 1.08 WHIP

Baz looked filthy last year at the top of the Rays rotation. He has 200 strikeout potential and once he returns from his elbow injury should continue to build off of last year's success.
#74
Trevor Rogers (MIA, SP) AGE: 24.6
63.0 IP 3.0 W 0.0 SV 58.0 K 5.86 ERA 1.63 WHIP

That Marlins rotation is looking dangerous with a 24 year old Rogers at the top of it.
#75
Bryan Reynolds (PIT, OF) AGE: 27.4
68 GP 256 AB 32.0 R 12.0 HR 24.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.254 AVG

Although his RBI and Runs numbers would likely be higher if he were to be traded to a better team, Reynolds should still be elite in the batting average category while swatting between 20 and 25 home runs.
#76
Max Fried (ATL, SP) AGE: 28.4
94.1 IP 7.0 W 0.0 SV 92.0 K 2.77 ERA 1.05 WHIP

Fried has shown flashes of dominance throughout his career. It will be intriguing to see if his increased fastball velocity will provide more consistency in 2022.
#77
Paul Goldschmidt (STL, 1B) AGE: 34.8
70 GP 266 AB 53.0 R 17.0 HR 61.0 RBI 3.0 SB 0.338 AVG

After a down year in 2020, Goldschmidt had a reassurance in the power department in 2021. He may not be as good as he once was in Arizona but still has a shot at 30 homers while batting .300
#78
Salvador Perez (KC, C) AGE: 32.1
57 GP 223 AB 25.0 R 11.0 HR 34.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.211 AVG

After his unsustainable power surge last year, no one can expect the same of Perez in 2022. Regardless, he still projects as a top 5 fantasy catcher in all formats.
#79
Cody Bellinger (LAD, OF) AGE: 27.0
65 GP 243 AB 31.0 R 9.0 HR 28.0 RBI 9.0 SB 0.214 AVG

If he hits as well he did in 2018 he would be a top ten player in the MLB, but as the years pass by, that is becoming less and less likely.
#80
Luis Castillo (CIN, SP) AGE: 29.5
51.0 IP 2.0 W 0.0 SV 49.0 K 3.71 ERA 1.14 WHIP

Castillo would be higher on this list if he was literally on any team but the reds.
#81
Christian Yelich (MIL, OF) AGE: 30.6
71 GP 270 AB 44.0 R 7.0 HR 26.0 RBI 11.0 SB 0.244 AVG

As with Bellinger, Yelich is also trying to recapture his 2018 form. He may do it, if he can put the ball in the air more instead of on the ground.
#82
Kevin Gausman (TOR, SP) AGE: 31.5
79.0 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 87.0 K 3.19 ERA 1.28 WHIP

Gausman's splitter is one of the best pitches in baseball and should be for the rest of his contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. Last year was a breakout year, and I once again expect Gausman to be a top 25 Starting Pitcher in 2022.
#83
Noelvi Marte (SEA, SS) AGE: 20.7
The Mariners continue to have an abundance of exciting youth flowing through their system. With 17 homers and 24 steals last year across 2 levels of the minors, Marte will be one to watch in 2022.
#84
Josh Hader (MIL, RP) AGE: 28.2
22.2 IP 0.0 W 22.0 SV 38.0 K 1.19 ERA 0.66 WHIP

The top fantasy closer in baseball is showing no signs of slowing down. He should continue to lead this crop of closers for the next 3-5 years.
#85
Jack Flaherty (STL, SP) AGE: 26.7
6.0 IP 0.0 W 0.0 SV 4.0 K 6.00 ERA 2.17 WHIP

Flaherty has battled injuries the last couple of years and will once again miss part of April with a shoulder injury. But pay attention if the ace is able to regain his old form once healthy.
#86
Brandon Lowe (TB, 2B,OF) AGE: 28.0
32 GP 118 AB 20.0 R 5.0 HR 12.0 RBI 1.0 SB 0.212 AVG

Despite the many fluctuations in Tampa Bay's lineup day to day, Lowe is one of the few staples. He is an underrated Second baseman who provides great power numbers while also contributing 5-10 steals each year.

Ketel Marte (ARI, 2B,OF) AGE: 28.7
64 GP 232 AB 33.0 R 4.0 HR 22.0 RBI 4.0 SB 0.263 AVG

The switch hitting Outfielder may never reach the 30 home run plateau as he did in 2019, but he should still be good for 20 home runs while batting close to .300 with lots of runs.
#88
Carlos Rodón (SF, SP) AGE: 29.5
80.0 IP 6.0 W 0.0 SV 101.0 K 2.70 ERA 1.09 WHIP

As shown with Kevin Gausman in 2021, the Giants have one of, if not the best development in the MLB. This should only help Rodon provide extremely favourable results throughout the extent of his new contract.
#89
Anthony Volpe (NYY, SS) AGE: 21.2
The Yankees refused to sign one of the many star Shortstops on the market because they are all aboard the Volpe train and rightfully so. Volpe has a chance to be a fantasy superstar as soon as 2023.
#90
Liam Hendriks (CWS, RP) AGE: 33.4
25.2 IP 1.0 W 16.0 SV 37.0 K 2.81 ERA 1.13 WHIP

Hendricks probably has the most secure job in all of baseball. With manager Tony La Russa preferring a more set option at closer, there is even more reason to believe in Hendricks being able to supply a large amount of saves year in and year out.
#91
Jonathan India (CIN, 2B) AGE: 25.5
21 GP 83 AB 6.0 R 1.0 HR 6.0 RBI 1.0 SB 0.217 AVG

The 2021 rookie of the year should once again be fantasy relevant this season. However, his RBI opportunities may be limited batting in that abysmal Cincinnati Reds lineup.
#92
Michael Kopech (CWS, SP,RP) AGE: 26.2
62.2 IP 2.0 W 0.0 SV 57.0 K 2.59 ERA 1.01 WHIP

He has a career average of 12.24 K per 9 innings. If he can stay healthy he has a good shot at being an extremely valuable high-volume strikeout starter this year.

The former top prospect seemed to begin to put it all together at the end of the 2021 season. Don't be surprised if his average becomes serviceable in 12 team standard leagues this year.

Max Muncy (LAD, 1B,2B,3B) AGE: 31.8
55 GP 180 AB 26.0 R 5.0 HR 20.0 RBI 0.0 SB 0.167 AVG

After coming out of nowhere at age 27 in 2018, Muncy has been consistent with between 35 and 36 home runs each of the last 3 full seasons. He should be good for at least 30 home runs in 2022 depending on how his elbow holds up.
#95
Zac Veen (COL, OF) AGE: 20.5
He is still at least a couple of years away from being fantasy relevant but his bat looks like it is going to be something to watch out for as he moves his way up the prospect ranks.
#96
Joe Musgrove (SD, SP) AGE: 29.6
85.0 IP 8.0 W 0.0 SV 82.0 K 2.12 ERA 0.95 WHIP

He has become a staple at the front of the Padres rotation. The 29 year old should continue to consistently flirt with a 3.50 ERA over the next three years.
#97
José Berríos (TOR, SP) AGE: 28.1
75.2 IP 5.0 W 0.0 SV 63.0 K 5.11 ERA 1.31 WHIP

The move to Toronto should help his win count. With 5 straight years with a 4.00 ERA or under, there is no reason to think that trend will end this year. Pitching coach Pete Walker should also help.

Carlson is a former top prospect for the Cardinals who seemed to finally put it together in 2021 with 18 homers, and 65 RBIs all while batting .266. His numbers don't necessarily blow you away, but they do provide some excitement that he will be able to build off of.
